The Historic Courthouse

I love old courthouses.  Back before modernism, they were the jewel of the county.  They were the heart of the community.  As communities have grown, the courthouses have been replaced, due to lack of size and resources.  Luckily many of them are re purposed. This is the Jackson County Courthouse in North Carolina. It is now where the library is located.  The setting is beautiful, on a hill above the town of Sylva, surrounded by the Plott Balsam Mountains.
