Lunchtime

I love living in a country where wildlife is common.  Just today driving home a turkey crossed the road ahead of me, and I had to swerve to avoid a turtle on the  road.  Deer eat our garden, and we see snakes and birds in our yard.  Every now and again i see foxes, and hear coyotes howling at night.

Last summer we went out west.  While visiting Yellowstone we saw this elk having lunch.  Elk used to roam all of the continental US, but now are only seen out west, with the exception of a small herd here in NC at Great Smoky Mountain National park.
