Linville Falls is a beautiful, high flow waterfall, which makes it’s way through a slot it has carved in the rock, and then plunges the Linville River into a large wilderness canyon, the Linville Gorge.  It is a gorgeous waterfall, right off of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and one of my favorite places!
